Exciting art projects, with instruction in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture… plus fun crafts & games. For 6-12 year-olds who enjoy making art and creative play.

Location: Kincardine Legion, 219 Lambton St., Kincardine, ON

Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Free late pick-up by 4pm

Fee: $295 per week -includes all art materials

To ensure enrolment: registration and fee payment - cash or cheque - can be dropped off at Jerome Flowers & Gifts. Can also be done by email with payment by e-transfer.

Week 1: July 24-28 FAMOUS ARTISTS Claus Oldenburg Ice Cream Cone Sculpture, Jackson Pollock Drip Painting, Yayoi Kusama - Polka Dots!....with Andrea and Antje

Week 2: July 31-Aug 4 SURVIVOR ADVENTURE Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, paracord knotting etc Create your own Tribal flag, Tiki Statue, Immunity Necklace, learn poi spinning plus fun “challenges”...with Andrea and Shelley

Instructors include:

Andrea Zimmer is a graduate of Emily Carr College of Art & Design: Diploma in Fine Arts and Royal Ontario Conservatory Artist-Educator Foundations Course. Andrea is the Children’s Activity Coordinator at Kincardine Scottish, Lighthouse Blues and Heritage Marine Festivals. Andrea designed and constructed puppets for Community Living’s: Kincardine Lighthouse Players show Ian & Friends.

Antje Martens-Oberwelland is an award winning artist and children’s writer living on a farm in Bruce County, Ontario. She studied Fine Arts in Hamburg, Germany, specializing in sculpture, painting and printmaking. Her artwork is found in collections across North America and Europe. Antje is a member of FCA (Federation of Canadian Artists) and SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators).

Shelley Roberts Also known as the “Queen of Halloween”, is the Coordinator of the annual Tiverton Lions Club “Shiverton Tour of Terror”. Shiverton is her “vision coming to life… with help of course”. A self taught DIY’er, Shelley is accomplished in traditional art forms like paper quilling, scrapbooking and also set design / building, woodworking plus... she can spin FIRE POI!

Campers, Please bring:

  • Plenty of snacks and lunch (nut free)

  • refillable water bottle

  • sun protection, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses etc

  • Proper footwear - we will going on short walks and playing at the park

  • Dress for a MESS! Please don’t wear “good” clothes

We will be taking short walks and outdoor breaks at Tiny Tot Park.
